Soccer Field Made Of Recycled Rubber From Discarded Tires

A new state-of-the-art synthetic turf soccer field using recycled rubber mats was inaugurated in Casapesenna on December 12, 2022. The field was built on land confiscated from the Camorra. Funding from Regione Campania and support of the Government Commissioner for Countering the Phenomenon of the Burning of waste in the Campania Region and Ecopneus made possible the realization of this project that has restored decorum to a place of illegality. The Agrorinascente and the Municipal Administration of Casapesenna developed a project for the recovery and valorization of the property in question.
Pier Luigi Picardi, president of the North Naples Court, stressed the importance of this initiative, through which it was possible to transform waste into resources.
An important initiative in which Geos, as the referent of Ecopneus consortium in Campania, recognizes and shares the social and environmental benefits generated in its territory thanks to the activities put in place to give new life to a waste material such as recycled rubber from end-of-life tires.
