Geos Environment S.r.l. has obtained the ISCC EU (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) certification. The ISCC EU scheme is a voluntary system recognized by the European Commission pursuant to Directive (EU) 2018/2001 (RED II) and subsequent regulatory updates, and it defines sustainability and greenhouse gas emission reduction criteria applicable to biofuels, biomethane and renewable raw material supply chains.
The ISCC EU scheme covers the entire chain of custody, from the origin of raw materials to the final operators in the supply chain, and establishes stringent requirements in terms of:

traceability of physical and documentary flows;

correct application of mass balance;

compliance with environmental sustainability criteria;

conformity with greenhouse gas emission reduction requirements.
By obtaining ISCC EU certification, GEOS strengthens its role as a qualified operator and coordinating entity supporting certified supply chains, assisting producers in the proper management of the obligations required by the scheme.
GEOS’s experience in waste and by-product traceability management, combined with its knowledge of the main sustainability schemes applicable to the energy sector, enables the company to provide structured operational support aimed at ensuring regulatory compliance and supply chain continuity.
